Renewal 50+ Workshop in Lanzarote: Helping Women Over 50 Rediscover Confidence, Purpose and Their Next Chapter
What happens when ten women over 50 choose to put themselves first for just one day?
Last Saturday, I had the privilege of hosting my first Renewal 50+ Workshop at the beautiful Real Club Náutico in Arrecife, Lanzarote. Ten inspiring women joined me for six hours of reflection, personal development, meaningful conversation and life coaching designed specifically for women navigating life's next chapter.
As a Life and Business Coach in Lanzarote, I meet many women who have spent decades caring for others, raising families, building careers, supporting partners and putting everyone else's needs before their own.
Then one day they pause and ask themselves: "What do I want from the next stage of my life?" That simple question became the starting point for a truly memorable day. A Personal Development Workshop for Women Over 50.
The workshop was created to provide a safe, welcoming environment where women could step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with themselves. Together we explored where each person is today, reflected on the experiences that have shaped them, recognised strengths they had forgotten they possessed, and considered what they truly want from the years ahead. The room quickly filled with honesty, compassion and encouragement. Although some of the ladies had never met before, complete strangers became supporters of one another within hours. It was a powerful reminder that we are never alone in the challenges we face.
Why Women Over 50 Need Time to RESET
Life after 50 often brings significant change.
Children become independent.
Careers evolve or come to an end.
Relationships change.
Retirement approaches.
Parents need more support.
Or perhaps there is simply an overwhelming feeling that something needs to change. These transitions can leave many women questioning their identity, confidence or sense of purpose. Yet they also offer an incredible opportunity to begin again. The Renewal 50+ Workshop is about embracing that opportunity. It isn't about dwelling on the past. It isn't about finding all the answers in one day. It's about creating space to pause, reflect, gain clarity and begin moving towards a future that feels exciting again.
The Power of Shared Experience
One of the most moving moments during the workshop was seeing women realise they weren't the only ones feeling uncertain. As stories were shared, confidence began to grow. Women recognised strengths they had overlooked for years. Dreams that had been quietly waiting resurfaced. Small actions suddenly felt possible. There was laughter, reflection, vulnerability and encouragement throughout the day. By the end of the workshop, many of the women commented that they more hopeful and clearer about the direction they wanted to take.
The biggest message of the day was this: Putting yourself first isn't selfish. It's essential. Many women admitted that taking six hours purely for themselves felt unfamiliar. Yet by the end of the workshop they recognised that personal growth begins when we give ourselves permission to stop surviving and start intentionally creating the life we want.
Thank You, to every woman who attended. Your openness, honesty and willingness to support one another made the day far more powerful than I could ever have imagined. Watching each of you leave with renewed confidence, hope and practical steps for the future reminded me exactly why I created these workshops.
